"Liv Saether
An Artist View
I met Phil and Victor in their studio in 1999, having been
referred by a local museum. My background, as a painter
and painting teacher, is rooted in classic painting methods
and materials. In their studio, I found the same aesthetics
and adherence to traditional values -- from making their
own gesso and gilding clays to the individual attention
to detail in the carving and finishing of each frame. They
have hundreds of samples to choose from -- all of them
quite beautiful. With their help I have been able to find
the best choice for each painting.
I have purchased over 100 frames and have
proudly referred their studio to clients and fellow artists.
My sales have increased as has my personal sense of satisfaction
as a painter."
Sincerely, Liv Saether
"For
quite a number of years I have selected Mayen Olson
frames to display my art collection. The quality
of workmanship is outstanding. I have never had a problem
with finishes cracking or flaking off, or with seams
opening. The finishes, which are so extremely important,
are harmonious
and consistent, so that frames purchased years apart
blend well together. Lastly, I have found great variety
in the
line, with new styles constantly being added."

"As
a professional artist I have a very strong commitment
to quality. I owe it to my collectors,
because
they deserve the best I can provide. This means I must
find and use the highest quality supplies available,
including the final and most important single touch, the
frame. Mayen Olson's variety of carves make each
frame unique, while their hand-crafted finishes enhance
the individuality of each one. My experience is that their
frames set the beauty and craftsmanship standards for the
industry."

"The
Irvine Museum collects and displays paintings of the
California Impressionist style (1890-1925).
Many of our paintings are acquired lacking their original
period frames and Mayen Olson is the best frame studio
we have found to re-create these frames. Mayen Olson
has been our fine art framer for the past ten years."

I
have used Mayen Olson Frames for every important painting
in my collection.
Now I let them choose the design because of their excellent
judgment.

began the introduction of 20th Century Russian Realist
art to North American collectors in 1989. We required
a source for custom framing that could deliver a level
of design creativity and finished product quality
that would be compatible with the unique qualities
of our paintings. The duration of our relationship
with Mayen Olson is an implicit endorsement of all
their framing capabilities. The Mayen Olson staff
has proven to be extremely professional and cooperative
in fulfilling our order requirements.
